Another place where you can learn more about Alcúdia is the Roman city of Pollentia, where some of the oldest remains to be found in Mallorca have been excavated and what’s more, it is open to the public. In the ancient Roman city of Pollentia, you can walk and see the different areas of this Roman city and discover for yourself how they lived in the past.

What to see in Alcúdia?

You can enjoy a walking or cycling route through the Albufera of Mallorca, an activity suitable for everyone, but if you are looking for something more of a challenge with your bike, do not hesitate to try the winding road up to the Formentor lighthouse; it is one of the most beautiful routes on the island. 

Also, on Tuesdays and Sundays, the streets of Alcúdia, are filled with market stalls selling the local products of Mallorca plus you can get a chance to taste them before you buy. At the Alcúdia market, you will find fruit, and vegetables plus a variety of local souvenirs. 

Alcúdia Beach

The beach of Alcúdia is one of the highlights of the area. It is a lovely wide sandy beach with all kinds of services and facilities.
